Guaranteed Rate Adds Two New Leaders

Guaranteed Rate has bolstered its local and national leadership with two big changes.

The company promoted CJ Rose to EVP of Growth and Acquisitions. His new position involves recruiting talent for Guaranteed Rate around the country and managing acquisitions.

Rose has been with G-Rate since 2005, when he joined as a Senior Director of Strategic Growth and Acquisitions. In 2021, he became involved with OriginPoint, a collaboration between the company and real estate brokerage Compass.

“It is great to be part of the best leadership team in our industry,” Rose said. “With our proven track record, a fast-paced and dynamic company culture, and the most innovative mortgage products in the industry, the advantages of joining Guaranteed Rate are hard to deny.”

On the local side, G-Rate rehired company veteran Chris Hutchens as Wilmington, NC’s Producing Area Manager and SVP of Mortgage Lending.

“I’ve returned to what I believe to be the best mortgage platform in the business. I enjoyed nearly a decade with this team before, so my trusted referral partners are thrilled to see me return. Everything at Guaranteed Rate is geared towards delivering a world-class client experience,” he said.

Hutchens will oversee management and mentorship in the area surrounding Wilmington. He is a leading LO in the region and across the U.S., having originated more than $2 billion since 1997.

“Chris Hutchens’ return to the Guaranteed Rate team is a significant boost, especially given his expertise in mortgage originations and strong reputation in the Carolinas,” said Jeff Nelson, Southeast Divisional Manager.

Guaranteed Rate is a Chicago-based lending and digital financial services company with more than 850 branches across the U.S., serving all 50 states and Washington, DC.

In the last year, it has strengthened its offerings with programs like the Same Day Mortgage, 5 Minute Approval, a 1% down payment option, and “Lock It, List It” rate lock-in program for real estate agents.

The company is under fire this week with the announcement that a former New Jersey LO is suing two managers for sexual harassment and gender discrimination. Guaranteed Rate says it is investigating the claims.
