December To Remember Is Back For Third Year At Rocket Pro TPO

By KIMBERLEY HAAS

Rocket Pro TPO is kicking off its annual December to Remember event and the executive vice president says it will mean more for mortgage professionals this year than ever before.

Mike Fawaz and his team announced on Nov. 20 that they will again be spreading holiday cheer this month with wins focused on helping the broker community. He said during an interview with The Mortgage Note this week that due to the state of the market in 2023, brokers and loan officers are hustling to finish the year strong.

“To me, this year December to Remember becomes a lot more special than any other year because, for one, December to Remember came to life to help mortgage brokers and to help loan officers,” Fawaz said. “It’s going to be a lot different because people are looking for opportunities and those are the things that we as a wholesale lender owe the broker community.”

Pricing incentives, tools, and products for the month have already been decided and will be rolled out on the company’s social media feeds, through email, and on the portal, Fawaz said.

Fawaz said that despite the difficulties the industry has faced this year, they have learned a lot, and he is proud of what they have accomplished.

“It’s been a very good year from a learning perspective. We learned a lot this year. Our loan officers learned a lot. The brokers learned a lot. And I learned a lot about the broker community this year. I learned that this community is resilient. I learned that this community is full of grit and this community is a group of winners,” Fawaz said.

Fawaz said programs like Purchase Plus, a special purpose credit program intended to increase accessibility to homeownership in underserved communities, and ONE+, where buyers can put down as little as 1%, have helped the broker community and their real estate partners.

Technology like Pathfinder, an AI and machine learning-powered search engine, helps brokers answer complicated questions quickly when time is of the essence.

Fawaz said their goal for 2024 is to continue to develop and enhance partnerships.

“We’re going out there, and we’re going to earn the partnership by providing value, by providing consistently, and by making sure that brokers have the freedom they need to be able to pick and choose who they want to work with and I’m excited about 2024,” Fawaz said.
