NewDay USA Named In 2023 Citizens Awards

Fintech NewDay USA has been named a finalist for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s 2023 Citizens Awards, honoring businesses devoted to positively impacting lives across the globe.

NewDay, a VA mortgage lender, was nominated in the Best Corporate Steward: Small and Middle Market Business category for its commitment to veterans and their families in the homebuying process.

The company helps veterans navigate their VA home loan benefits in order to make informed financial decisions as they search for a home.

At the same time, its nonprofit arm, the NewDay USA Foundation, provides educational scholarships to children of vets across the country. They also support organizations such as the Medal of Honor Foundation, Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, and Baltimore Station.

“We’re delighted the U.S. Chamber Foundation has recognized our work giving back to those who have made immense sacrifices for our nation,” NewDay USA CEO Rob Posner said. “Our focus on financial literacy, housing, scholarships, and employee engagement generates shared value by positively impacting communities, employees, and stakeholders.”

Posner said in a statement that NewDay’s investment in analytics and data science, along with the talent of their credit risk team, has resulted in a delinquency rate that is 5 times lower than the national average.

“What is even more impressive about this achievement is that the company’s approval rate on referring eligible loans is 5 times greater than the competition,” he added.

Twenty-eight companies were nominated across nine categories for the 2023 Citizens Awards.

Winners, selected by a committee of thought leaders and executives in each category, will be announced at the 25th Annual Conference and Corporate Citizenship Awards ceremony on November 1 and 2 in Washington, D.C.

“Businesses are problem solvers, risk takers, difference makers. And nothing can tell this better than the incredible stories we’re highlighting through the Citizens Awards,” said Carolyn Cawley, president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. “Congratulations to this year’s finalists for their visionary leadership, and their praiseworthy efforts to strengthen our communities and deliver innovative business-led solutions to solve new and persistent challenges.”

NewDay will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in January.
