Two Key Exec Moves At Churchill Mortgage

Churchill Mortgage announced two key executive changes as the company refines its workforce despite the housing slowdown.

Jesse Vazquez joined the company as VP of Talent Acquisition and Kelly Lee was promoted to EVP of National Production.

Lee joined Churchhill in June 2022 as SVP of Production for the Pacific Northwest. Prior to that, he served as EVP and Divisional Manager at PrimeLending, during which time the company’s West Coast presence grew from $280 million to $3.1 billion.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead our national sales team and ensure we are hitting our production goals, while also remaining true to the values that have allowed Churchill to thrive for over 30 years,” said Lee. “Achieving sustainable and meaningful fiscal growth that aligns with our culture is my top priority, with a focus on consistent performance across all regions.”

His other past experience includes VP of Sales and EVP at a regional mortgage company. He is a U.S. Army veteran.

Vazquez brings nearly three decades of talent acquisition experience to Churchill, including at Stearns Lending and First Guaranty Mortgage. In three years at First Guaranty, the number of loan officers rose from 23 to 188 thanks to Vazquez.

“Given the company’s long-term stability, quick turnaround times, and 100% employee ownership, I’m confident we have the tools to establish a smart and sustainable model to grow the team with talented loan officers from across the country,” Vazquez said.

Churchill Mortgage is an employee-owned lender working across 49 states and D.C.

“We are growing and refining our workforce despite recent cooling in the housing market, which is a testament to the strong foundation of our company,” said Mike Hardwick, CEO of Churchill Mortgage.
