Another Motto Mortgage franchise has opened, this one in Houston, TX.
Motto Mortgage Luxe Group is a Black-owned, full-service mortgage brokerage headed by Angela Martin and Toi Parnell.
Martin and Parnell bring a combined forty years of mortgage industry experience to the branch. Parnell most recently worked as a branch manager and senior loan officer at Nexa Mortgage and has also managed branches for LeaderOne Financial and Geneva Financial.
Both will originate mortgages in the new office.

“My goal is for each customer to feel comfortable throughout the loan process and I believe that good communication is the key to that,” Parnell said.
Each Motto office is individually owned and operated. Motto, a brokerage franchiser, provides access to competitive loans from various wholesale lenders. The company was named a Top 100 Most Innovative Franchise by Franchise Business Review in 2022.
Despite declining buyer demand, the company hopes to eventually have more than 1,000 franchises, Ward Morrison, president and CEO of Motto Franchising, told RISMedia.
“We’ve sold over 300 franchises in our first six years. We have more than 200 open offices in 40 states, and our goal is to have 1,000 open offices,” he said.
“Whether that’s in three years, five years, or seven years, that’s still our goal: to have 1,000 independently owned and operated franchises throughout the country.”
