Ex-CoreLogic Exec Melanie Graper Joins loanDepot
Former CoreLogic exec Melanie Graper has been named chief human resources officer at loanDepot, the company announced in a press release.
Graper will lead all aspects of the company’s human capital function. She succeeds Kevin Tackaberry, whose departure was announced last month, and will report to President and CEO Frank Martell.
“I’m excited to be joining loanDepot at such a pivotal time in the industry and look forward to partnering with Frank and the executive team to deliver an exceptional experience for loanDepot employees, customers, and shareholders,” said Graper.
Prior to loanDepot, Graper’s most recent position was with CoreLogic as chief human resources officer from 2019 to February of this year and she served on its executive committee.
Graper’s other experience includes VP of Human Resources at the Irvine Company and Human Resources Director at Mattel, Inc, as well as senior leadership roles at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide and GlaxoSmithKline.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Melanie Graper to team loanDepot… She is a consummate HR professional with a recognized track record of developing high-performing talent and nimble and effective organizations, and I look forward to partnering with her as we continue to execute our Vision 2025 plan,” said Martell.
“As we work to emerge from this challenging market cycle, the continued identification, development, and retention of a diverse, high-performing team remains one of our most critical priorities to ensure our long-term growth and success.”
Graper serves on the board of the American Heart Association and Western Region. She was recognized by the Orange County Business Journal as a “Women in Business Award” honoree in 2019.
loanDepot’s leadership has changed drastically this year in the wake of a proxy fight between founder Anthony Hsieh and the company’s Board of Directors.
Though it was resolved back in April, the company has since seen organizational changes such as the hiring of another former CoreLogic exec, David Hates, as CFO. A series of other C-suite execs have left and been replaced.
