Andrew Strickman Joins NAF As CMO

Andrew Strickman has been named Chief Marketing Officer by New American Funding, the lender announced in a press release.

Strickman will further NAF’s growing brand in his new position, bringing more than two decades of marketing experience to the company in its 20th year.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Andrew to the NAF family,” NAF President Christy Bunce said.

“As a mission-driven mortgage lender that believes homeownership opportunities should be available to all, Andrew comes to us with a wealth of knowledge working with and for purpose-driven companies like ours. His perspective on building brands that drive business results, and his approach to storytelling will serve us well as we move into this next chapter of our company’s history.”

Strickman will oversee NAF’s fifty-strong team, spearheading its marketing and branding efforts across social media, email, editorial, creative, operations, and NAF’s in-house print shop.

Prior to NAF, he cut his teeth as CMO at healthcare startup Care Access. Strickman has also served as SVP, Head of Brand, and Chief Creative Officer at realtor.com, where he pioneered the company’s advocacy efforts around fair housing and non-discrimination in lending.

His other experience includes Senior Director of Global Consumer Marketing at Yahoo, SVP of Marketing at Isobar North America, and managing director of Ammo Marketing.

“As a huge admirer of what Patty and Rick Arvielo and the NAF team have done to build education and support into the lending process, opening up opportunities for many more potential homebuyers, I know we have so much great work ahead to deliver in service to that mission,” Strickman said.

New American Funding is an independent mortgage lender with more than 165 locations nationwide.

The California-based lender has been hard at work throughout the market correction. It rebranded in March, unifying all of its companies under a new look; promoted a new CPO, president, and CEO; and scored an exclusive partnership with news platform Patch.

It also rolled out a grant for first-time buyers. New American, which laid off nearly 1,000 employees in 2022, may be hoping to weather the slowdown with these changes.
