This Spooky Weare, New Hampshire House Listing Is Getting National Attention

Update: This home, without photos of the seller dressed as the fictional character Michael Myers from the “Halloween” series of slasher films, is now under contract.
A New England couple’s house listing has gone viral because it features photos of the fictional character Michael Myers from the “Halloween” series of slasher films.
A man is seen holding a knife on the property and inside the house, which is listed for $375,000. It is located at 73 Guys Lane in Weare, New Hampshire.
Realtor Tommy Bolduc of Keller Williams Realty-Metropolitan said on Tuesday morning that the two-bedroom, two-bathroom house has been popular online since it hit the market on Sept. 30.
“Anybody who is looking for a house in Weare knows about it now,” Bolduc said in an interview with The Mortgage Note.
As of 6:45 p.m. on Oct. 5, the listing had been viewed 284,913 times and had been saved 3,302 times on Zillow.
Bolduc explained that the man featured in the photos is a seller.
“It’s the husband in the photos. He took on an active role in being Michael Myers,” Bolduc said.
The addition of Michael Myers in the photos was meant to give people a laugh as Halloween is at the end of this month and the character is a popular one.
It is obvious the homeowner had some fun during the photo shoot for the listing.
The listing has already been featured on “Today” and is going viral on social media.
Bolduc told The Mortgage Note he has never done anything like this before with a client but enjoys going above and beyond to help people.
“I love helping people with one of the biggest transactions of their life,” Bolduc said. “It’s very rewarding.”
According to the listing, the 1,459-square-foot house is located on 3.02 acres of land and was built in 1991.
The listing says the cape is perched on a hilltop and overlooks the forest. It is situated on a quiet, dead-end street, and there is lots of wildlife to see in the neighborhood.
The Zestimate lists the house’s value at $383,100. It was last sold in January of 2018 for $235,000.
Home values in Weare are at an average of $425,785, according to Zillow. That is up 14.7% from a year ago.
Weare had an estimated population of 9,156 in 2021 and is located within commuting distance of Manchester, New Hampshire’s biggest city, and Concord, the state capitol.
The median household income from 2016 to 2020 was $95,775.
This is not the first time this year a house listing featuring the character Michael Myers has gone viral.
A home in Carlinville, Illinois, was featured on Fox 32 Chicago in May when it received more than 300,000 views on Zillow after being on the market for a week.
The teenage son was the person dressed up for the listing photos in that circumstance.
At the time of the report, there had been no offers.
