Rene Gonzales has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer at Cenlar FSB, the company announced in a press release.
Cenlar FSB is headquartered in New Jersey and services loans nationally. It is an employee-owned company with about 3,000 workers.
“I look forward to being the CTO and continuing our efforts to deploy innovative technology that demonstrates value to the company and our clients and their homeowners,” Gonzales said.
Gonzales brings a strong background in IT to the position. His previous experience includes leadership roles at PHH Mortgage, Altisource, Ocwen Financial, and Ally Financial. He joined Cenlar FSB in 2018.

Michelle DeHart has been appointed vice president of loan operations for escrow at Cenlar FSB, company leaders announced in a press release.
“I am excited to be part of the Cenlar team,” DeHart said. “My objective is to strengthen Cenlar’s escrow area by leveraging technology and automating wherever possible to enhance operational efficiencies and deliver the best outcomes for Cenlar, our clients, and their homeowners.”
DeHart will be in charge of all escrow functions including tax, insurance, flood insurance, and escrow analysis.
With 25 years of experience in mortgage banking and financial services, she will also lead additional operational efficiencies and risk mitigation initiatives.

Loan subservicer and wholesale bank Cenlar FSB has appointed Dave Applegate as Chairman of the Board of Directors, the company announced in a press release. He is replacing former Chairman of the Board, President, and CEO Greg Tornquist, who is retiring. At the same time, EVP and COO Robert Lux has been named co-CEO with Dr. James Daras, who will also serve as president.
