Rocket Pro Partners With Vetted VA

By KIMBERLEY HAAS
Rocket Pro has partnered with Vetted VA to help brokers support veterans who want to use their home loan benefits.
The goal is to simplify the VA loan process, break down barriers for military families, and give brokers a competitive edge in today’s market. Brokers can sign up to get the tools and support they need to guide VA clients to homeownership.
The partnership was announced on Tuesday at The Gathering by HousingWire.
Katie Sweeney, executive vice president of strategy and broker advocacy at Rocket Pro, said in a phone interview with The Mortgage Note that building a solid relationship between the broker community and veterans has been a goal of hers for some time. She has been working on getting this partnership off the ground since she started working at Rocket Pro in January.
Vetted VA works to address VA loan misconceptions. Sweeney said that, unfortunately, veterans are targets of predatory marketing.
“These are people that deserve the opportunities that come along with homeownership,” Sweeney said of veterans.
Sweeney said that brokers who work with Rocket Pro believe in accountability and trust, and that is why they are a good match for veterans.
“They’re very interested in serving this community of people,” Sweeney said of the brokers.
Through the partnership with Vetted VA, brokers will have more access to free resources that can help them ramp up their knowledge about VA loan programs, as well as training at reduced costs.
In addition to offering personal support for brokers, Rocket Pro is planning to build technical resources with Vetted VA that will be offered to the broker community at no cost.
“This is not a short-term investment for us,” Sweeney said. “We really want the two groups to be intertwined.”
Vetted VA will also help Rocket Pro’s team level up their internal knowledge, she said.
Rocket has been working hard to position itself to take advantage of a changing lending landscape, aiming to be one of the most inclusive brands in America.
The company unveiled a new ad during the Superbowl as part of its “Own the Dream” campaign. It uses John Denver’s “Take Me Home Country Roads” as the basis for a story about Americans returning to the places that matter most to them.
A shot of soldiers returning home can be seen 39 seconds into the commercial.
At the same time, Rocket is using technology and advances in artificial intelligence to transform how they serve borrowers on the front end and how they underwrite loans on the back end.
CEO Varun Krishna says technology is the bedrock of their investment strategy and is at the heart of the organization.
