MBA Promotes Jamie Woodwell

The Mortgage Bankers Association promoted longtime employee Jamie Woodwell to SVP of Commercial/Multifamily Policy and Strategic Industry Engagement.
Woodwell, a CRE expert, has worked with MBA for twenty years. He most recently served as VP and Head of Commercial Real Estate Research
In his new role, he will oversee MBA’s public policy and member engagement in the CRE finance sectors while helping further the association’s business and policy goals.
Throughout his years with MBA, he developed many research activities such as the Peer Business Roundtables and Commercial Real Estate Finance Careers program.
Before joining MBA in 2004, Woodwell headed up multifamily data initiatives at Fannie Mae. His other experience includes Senior Director of Business Development at CapitalThinking in New York, Research Director at the WMF Group in Virginia, and Research Manager at the National League of Cities in Washington.
“Jamie is a widely respected and well-known voice in the commercial and multifamily real estate industry whose market expertise and economic insights are highly valued by MBA’s members, policymakers, and the media,” said MBA President and CEO Bob Broeksmit.

Woodwell has a bachelor’s degree in economics and American studies from Brown University and a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh.
