Jason Pendergist Named SVP, Chief Lending Officer At Kinecta

Kinecta Federal Credit Union announced C-suite changes, with Jason Pendergist replacing Mike Squire as SVP and chief lending officer.

Pendergist will be responsible for leading Kinecta’s lending division and will report to Keith Sultemeier, President and CEO of the credit union.

“We’re honored to welcome Jason Pendergist to our leadership team,” said Sultemeier. “Jason’s proven leadership in regional and community banking and his expertise in consumer and commercial lending are well suited to help us meet the needs of our members and to be their financial institution of choice.”

Squire has transitioned to SVP and chief experience officer.

“Mike Squire has transitioned to chief experience officer, where he can leverage over 10 years in leadership roles at Kinecta to provide members the consistently superior service experience they expect and deserve from their credit union,” Sultemeier said.

He brings more than two decades of experience in lending and leadership to the position. Prior to Kinecta, he served as head of commercial services at Security Service Federal Credit Union.

His other experience includes being head of real estate and commercial banking at Banc of California; leadership positions at JP Morgan Chase; and president of consumer and commercial banking at Luther Burbank Savings, where he helped the company become the top multifamily lender on the West Coast.

He serves on the board of Miracles for Kids, a non-profit that serves families of children battling life-threatening illnesses.

California-based Kinecta Federal Credit Union is the 35th largest credit union in the country, with additional branches in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. It merged with Xceed Financial Credit Union in 2021, making it the largest credit union headquartered in the South Bay area of LA County.
