FirstAm Title Launches Real-Time Fraud Alerts

First American Title Insurance Company launched a new real-time fraud alert system for title agents.
Order Insights is a transaction-based system available to all FirstAm policy-issuing title agents. It is included with AgentNet Services, the digital storefront for the company’s products.
FirstAm leaders note that real estate-related fraud losses totaled more than $145 million in 2023. Order Insights reduces fraud risk by automatically validating transaction data and notifying agents of any discrepancies or other potential fraud indicators.
“Order Insights is another example of First American’s leadership in the digital transformation of title and settlement and our dedication to helping our valued agents protect their clients’ transactions and grow their businesses,” said Stephen Vincini, president of First American Title’s Agency Division.
“Dynamic fraud alerts help our agents deliver the certainty and trust needed to power seamless real estate transactions for their clients.”
The company says 130,000 files were protected by Order Insights in November.
CoreLogic reports that identity fraud and transaction fraud both increased year-over-year in 2024. They estimate that 0.81% of all mortgage applications contained fraud in the second quarter, about 1 in 123 applications.
Earlier this year, FirstAm Title released a “reimagined” version of its tech platform AgentNet, linking underwriting products and services with more intuitive navigation. Order Insights is the latest upgrade.
The company has teased marketing and finance additions, such as a full library of ready-to-go online and printed materials.
First American Title Insurance Company is the largest subsidiary of First American Financial Corporation. First American is a provider of title, settlement, and risk solutions for real estate transactions.
